Some equipment is developed particularly for a special purpose. In glass eel systems we install brushing machines on the outlets. The outlets need to be equipped with very fine mesh to prevent small eel from escaping. The brushing machines prevent clogging of the screen with slime, dead eel or faeces.

For hatcheries and research systems a pre-fabricated polyethylene hatching system can be supplied. This system consists of a static bed filter, UV and an airlift for recirculating the water. The height of the tank, the white background and the relative shallow water level make it very easy to clean and inspect the tank. Unhatched eggs will be collected in the middle (deepest point) of the tank, from where they can be siphoned and removed form the tank.
