Cat-Nurs system
Description
The Cat-Hatch system is a stand alone recirculation system for the rearing of Catfish fry, from fertilized egg to a fry size of 0.1 gram. Each system consists of a culture tanks and a filter unit. The system is air driven and requires an air flow of 1.5 m3/hr with 1.25 m. pressure.
Blower (AIR.BLO.010), egg tray (EGG.TRY.000) and belt feeder (FDR.BEM.000) are sold separately.
The system is designed to handle a daily food load of at least 200 gram. The culture water can be cycled through the filter system up to 5 times per hour. The power uptake of the system is formed by a 29 Watt blower and, if needed an 11 Watt UVc unit. The system has a foot print of 315 x 78 cm and is 100 cm high.

Description
The Cat-Breeder system is a stand alone recirculation system for keeping and growing Catfish broodstock. The system is identical to the CAT-NURS system but equipped with larger outlet screens in the fish tanks.
Blower, scoop graders, belt feeders and jump screens are sold separately.
A CAT-Breeder system has a foot print of 320 x 230 cm and is 100 cm high. The air requirement is 15 m3/hr with a pressure of 1.25 m.

The egg hatching trays are designed for use with the CAT-HATCH systems. Each tray is 150 cm long and 60 cm wide and stands on 4 legs. The frame is made of heavy duty glassfiber reinforced plastic. The screen has a mesh opening of 1 mm.
In case of African Catfish farming fertilized eggs are spread over the tray in a mono layer. Hatched larvae can swim down into the fish tank through the mesh openings while dead eggs and egg shells remain on the screen. After hatching the tray is removed with the egg left overs. After cleaning the tray may be placed back to provide cover for the larvae.

The belt feeder is an automatic feeder that is operated by a spring loaded clock. A belt is pulled out, on which the feed is spread out. By pulling out the belt spring is wound up, providing the power to rewind the belt. The belt is contained in a plastic housing with a lid.
The feeder can carry up to 3 kg (FDR.BEM.000) or 5 kg (FDR.BEL.000) of food and when fully pulled out will take 12 hours to rewind the belt.
The belt feeder must be installed over the fish tank. It is important to mount the feeder at a height that splashing of water can not wet the belt. This will cause the feed to get wet and the belt to turn moldy.

Description
The pendel feeder is a feeder from which the fish can take food by themselves. The feeder includes a feed silo with lid and a pendel construction.
The feeder is mounted over the water, whereby the end of the pendle hangs in the water. Whenever a fish strikes the end of the pendel rod a few pellets of feed drop in the water. The pendel can be adjusted for different sizes of feed.
The feed silo can contain either 10 (FDR.PES.000), 20 (FDR.PEM.000) or 40 liter of feed (FDR.PEL.000).

Description
The Pneumofeeder is a pneumatic feeding system. It consists of a computer that controls up to 64 feeder units. The feeders are connected to a central air compressor and a 24 Volt power source. When the computer signals a feeder a solenoid valve is opened and air is released, blowing food from the silo into the fish tanks. The feeder is used to spread feed over large fish tanks where feeding at a single point does not work well, for example in the farming of Shrimp and Koi carp. Food can be blown over 10 m. distance.
A standard set for 24 feeders includes a computer, 24 complete 100 L. feeders, a heavy duty air compressor and all wiring and plumbing for complete installation.

The splash plate is used to evenly dispense water over the top of a trickling filter. These dispensers are specifically designed for low pressure and are insensitive to clogging or mechanical failure. When mounted 20-30 cm over the trickling bed they only require 30-60 cm water pressure to operate.
The number of Splash plates that are needed depend on the water flow, the distance between the filter bed and the Splash plate and the water pressure at the inlet of the dispenser.
The Splash plates have a tapered thread and are installed by drilling a 45 mm hole in the water supply pipe, and then by screwing in the dispenser.

Bactogrip is a biofilter medium that provides surface area for biofilter organisms to grow on. The medium is made of virgin HDPE and has a specific weight of 0.96-0.97. The medium has a total surface of over 900 m2/m3 and exceeds the effective surface area of competing products.
Bactogrip was designed by ACE for use in moving bed biofilters, as well as static bed biofilters. Under practical fish farm conditions a m3 of Bactogrip can handle the ammonia release of 4-8 kg food per day. The actual number depends on the water quality that is targeted (ammonia concentration, temperature, pH) and the ammonia release per kg of food.
When used as submerged, aerated biofilter up to 66% of the filter water volume can be loaded with Bactogrip. The minimum amount of aeration that is needed to keep the bed moving is 8 m3/hr per m2 filter foot print.
The Bactogrip beads have a diameter of 13.5 mm and are about 13 mm long.
Beads are packed in big bags or in 90 Liter bags. Dry weight is 150 kg/m3.

The Scoop grader is specifically designed for use with the CAT-NURS systems. This grader fits tight in the CAT-NURS fish tanks and allows to grade or catch the fish in one scoop. The scoops are offered in 6 different slot sizes.
The Scoops are made of HDPE. They have a handle, as well as a lifting bar for manual handling. The screen is white to improve inspection of the fish. The sides of the grader are lined with a plastic brush, as a flexible seal between the grader and the fish tank walls.

These rectangular hand nets are used for fry or fingerlings, but are strong and large enough to net larger fish. The net bag is mounted in the stainless steel frame in a way that prevents abrasion of the net. Two sizes are offered.
NET.BM.001 has a frame of 31x41 cm, 1 mm net opening and 60 cm handle
NET.BM.002 has a frame of 41x51 cm, 2 mm net opening and 60 cm handle
